I’ve performed administrative tasks in one office setting or another for the past 20+ years. After 4 years as an Administrative Assistant and HR Coordinator for a landscaping company, I decided I needed a change. I wanted to find a career opportunity that would allow me to help others, so I took a position in higher education as the Executive Assistant to the Campus President. We provided education for students with limited resources, and I found that aspect of the job to be fulfilling. I was quickly promoted to Director of Registration, a position that was created for me by the VP of Operations. The floundering department was a good fit for my skills since I had a proven history of revamping struggling departments. After 5 years in education, I grew restless and wanted to do more.
I looked back at my career and noticed a common thread among my past positions. Though the industries varied, at almost every job I had helped business owners organize and streamline administrative tasks. After starting a family and spending a year at home with my first son, I decided two things: I wanted to work from home, and I wanted to help businesses grow. What better way than providing Virtual Support Services?
I set out to create a company that would epitomize my vision and my work ethic. If I had to pick one word to describe myself, both personally and professionally, I would choose the word “mindful”. I put a great deal of thought behind everything I do, from relationships and parenting, to my work and the causes I support. So the word “mindful” seemed most appropriate for my business name. It’s more than a name. To me, it’s a concept and a philosophy, and has a significant meaning. Enter, Mindful Office Solutions.
I am obsessively organized and have a knack for writing, editing and proofreading. I have a keen eye for spelling and grammar, which can be aggravating to my family, but bodes well for me as a Virtual Assistant! My mission is to help you run your company more efficiently, so you have time to focus on revenue-gaining activities and pursuing your own passions in life!

My house is almost 100 years old; my husband and I have been working on fixing it up for over 9 years
I recently taught myself to crochet and am now completely obsessed
I love nature and doing all I can to help protect it
I love yoga, traveling, coffee, the beach, music, and spending time with friends and family
I come from a long line of breast cancer survivors, the ranks of which I've recently joined myself (you can read about my diagnosis here)
